Vintage Must de Cartier Tank Vermeil, 'Turtle Shell' Brown Wood-Effect Dial, Mechanical, Original Box 1980s Swiss watch Released in the early 1990sThis Must de Cartier Tank comes from the 1980s and carries one of the harder dials to find in the line turtle shell. The case is vermeil 925 sterling silver plated with 20 microns of 18ct gold measuring 20mm by 28mm, the small Tank proportion. The dial is the reason this one is worth attention. Collectors know it as the "turtle shell" or wood dial: a brown lacquer worked with an organic grain that shifts between chocolate, amber and near black
