Description

In 1953 a painting professor Heinz Poreb came across a Trotin oil for sale in a junk shop in Saint-Germaindes-Prés

the only frame we had handy is this remarkable museum quality gesso and gold affair so now it’s even bigger

it took me some time to work it out but she’s loosening her hair from behind and it has fallen over her face

However in the mid-1950s he met the 16 year old Claire while she was working as an artists model
